Hog Island Shoal Light

As of fall 2022, there is a new Military Affiliated Resource Center (MARC) at Roger Williams University! They held their open house in early October, and I got to meet the persons volunteering to get this resource center up and running. As a veteran, I was so excited to hear about this new space, their mission, and how it would help guide current and future veteran students at Roger Williams. Because the space is so new, there are currently only white walls. I decided I wanted to make a painting and donate it to the MARC. I chose to paint Hog Island Shoal Light which is located in Bristol, Rhode Island. Lighthouses are navigational markers that help indicate where dangerous water is so ships can safely pass. Like Hog Island Shoal Light, I believe the new Military Affiliated Resource Center will help guide veteran students towards where they need to go.

UPDATE: The Military Resource Center is closed as of mid-2023. Christine Gallardo reached out to me about this painting and is now the proud owner!
